Impressive 19th C. Tiffany and Co sterling silver footed punch bowl with Bacchante handles. The repousse band displaying semi nude frolicking figures. The Bacchic male and female jesters are adorned with garlands of bells and serve as the handles. The punch bowl is not monogrammed. Stamped with the "T" mark indicating the date of manufacture between 1891-1902. The letter marks also indicates the President of the Tiffany company. The "T" stands for Charles L. Tiffany, the founder and president. A similar example of the Bacchic motif on a punch bowl can be found at The Art Institute of Chicago.
