Kangxi Period (1662-1722), made of Ta Ch'ing kaolinic biscuit porcelain from the kilns at Ching-te-Chen in the province of Jiangxi, in the form two Kyling (Chi'i-ling) figures, in a recumbent position both resting on foliated pedestal bases, the male figure with a loose pierced "brocade" ball, the female figure with two cubs, both with a lobed yellow beaker vase on their back. The underfoot of each figure is hollow and left en biscuit
Restoration to extremities, one with restored break and cracks at base of vase, other with restoration to ball
