Shipping

As the buyer, you are responsible for pick up or delivery/shipment. All property must be paid for and removed from Nye & Company within 14 business days of the auction unless special arrangements are agreed upon in writing before the sale. If you do not remove property at that time, we will charge you a PER LOT charge of $10 per day that the property remains at the sale site. We are not responsible for any purchased property left at the site of sale. After 14 days, all property will be moved to a third-party storage warehouse. Once your invoice is paid, the shipping process begins. A separate credit card payment to the shipping company will be necessary. Please allow two weeks for shipping after payment is received. We can ship small items via FedEx, all other larger items must be shipped by a 3rd party, the purchaser is responsible for removal of larger items. We have a list of recommended shippers you can contact. She has served in a curatorial capacity at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and at the DeCordova Musuem. She also had experience working at auction houses and was the owner of Applegate Appraisals. Furthermore, she was an adjunct professor at a number of universities including Harvard, Tufts, Boston College, the Cooper-Hewitt Museum and the Bard Graduate Center."

Conditions of Sale

Contract Information: A buyer's premium of 23% of the hammer price, plus a 5% live bidding fee shall be added to each purchase to reach the total sales price.

Payment Information: We accept four forms of payment. 1. Visa and Mastercard, American Express, you may call us at 973-984-6900 to pay over the phone (a 3% processing fee is charged for all credit card purchases. 2. Checks and money orders can be mailed to us at 20 Beach Street, Bloomfield, NJ 07003. 3. We also take cash and wire transfer, please email [email protected] for wire transfer information. 4. You can also pay through Liveauctioneers, they charge an additional fee for online transactions.

Premium: The total purchase price to be paid for each lot of property by you is the amount of the successful bid price plus a premium of 28%.

Taxes on your purchase: Unless exempt by law, all purchases (including buyers premium) are subject to local sales or use tax.

Condition Statement: Condition reports are not provided in catalog descriptions. The absence of a condition report does not guarantee that the lot is in good condition or free from damage and wear. We encourage you to requisite a condition report and/or additional photos prior to bidding on any lot.  We also recommended asking for a shipping quote before bidding as well.
