Valerie Bleier is a USPAP-certified appraiser specializing in silver and jewelry. She began working for Dawson’s Auctioneers and Appraisers before continuing with Nye and Company. She attended school at the University of Maryland with a degree in history, then Parson’s School of Design with a degree in Interior Design Studies. She also studied at New York University and the Gemological Institute of America. She is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Northern New Jersey, the Appraiser’s Association of America, the American Society of Jewelry Historians, the Kellogg Club, Morristown, and the New York Silver Society. Additionally, Valerie is a former president of the Millburn-Short Hills Historical Society and served as Commissioner on the Historic Preservation Committee, Millburn Township.
