Description:

Theorem of Fruit in a Bowl
Watercolor on Paper
Shows a large, footed white bowl filled with fruit. A white, faceted vase is to the right of the bowl and a faceted cup is to the left. The bowl contains an apple, a pear, a lemon, four peaches, one of which is split open, and a slice each of cantaloupe and watermelon.

An almost identical example shown in the Garbisch Collection Sale Part III, Sotheby Parke Bernet 3692 Lot 161 on November 12, 1974. The only difference is the position of the opened peach and the watermelon that are reversed. This lot was found in New Haven, CT
